What each plan includes

Fincanva has five plans — Free, Starter, Advanced, Ultimate and Professional — and each one grants a fixed set of strategy, screener, Live and backtest-realism limits. This page lists what each includes. The narrower scale your billing card counts — plan step, the three plans a subscription can actually be — is a different reading of the same order; how a strategy's own setup is checked against your plan is a separate question again, covered in plan compliance.

What does the Free plan include?

Free needs no card and has no time limit. It keeps 1 saved strategy and up to 5 instruments in it, lets you build and run a screener on its own, and includes 3 FIN AI suggestions a month. It does not include: attaching a screener to a strategy, following a strategy Live, leverage above 1×, Combined strategies, or trading costs and taxes in backtest results. The 30-day trial is the way to try one paid plan — the one you pick at checkout, at that plan's own limits — before paying for it.

What do the paid plans cost?

Prices are in EUR, from Fincanva's live price list — the monthly figure is per month, the quarterly and annual figures are the total charged for that period:

PlanMonthlyQuarterly (−10%)Annual (−20%)
Starter€29€78€276
Advanced€79€213€756
Ultimate€149€402€1,428

Professional has no published price. It is a contact path, not a fourth step on this list — reach it by writing to hello@fincanva.com. Its capability values below are real (the same ratified matrix values every other step), but they are never billed through checkout at a stated figure.

Do backtests differ by plan?

Yes, in two ways: how much a strategy can hold, and how realistic its results are.

What a strategy can hold — saved strategies, instruments per strategy, saved screeners, screeners attached to one strategy, filters per screener, and how many strategies a Combined may hold:

Screeners attached to one strategy01288
Filters per screener‡1010101010
Combined strategies at allNoNoYesYesYes
Strategies inside one Combined51020

Strategies inside one Combined counts the ones in use. A strategy switched off inside a Combined does not count toward it, and whatever is switched on or off, a Combined holds at most 20 strategies in total.

† The one row that stops rising. 50 instruments is the most a strategy may hold on any plan, so Advanced, Ultimate and Professional are level here — this is not a missing figure, and no upgrade lifts it.

‡ The rows no upgrade raises. Both marked ones — saved screeners, and filters per screener — are level on every plan, so each answers its question the same way whichever plan you are on, and no upgrade changes either. Level is not unenforced: a screener over the filter figure puts any strategy it is attached to outside the plan, and there is no step to move to.

No limit means your plan does not cap it. No plan limits how many strategies or screeners you may save — the one exception is saved strategies on Free, which is one, and that is a plan limit: it is the row an upgrade lifts. Behind the No limit on saved strategies and saved screeners there is still a technical safety maximum of 999, which exists to stop runaway creation, and no plan step raises it because it is not a plan lever. The app is where you will meet that number: your usage panel counts against it — 25 of 999 — so the figure you see there is the safety maximum, not an allowance you bought. The price list says the same: the saved-strategies cell reads No limit, and saved screeners are promised as unlimited in prose.

How realistic the results are — whether trading costs and taxes are counted, and which allocation methods are on offer:

FreeStarterAdvancedUltimateProfessional
Trading costs includedNoYesYesYesYes
Taxes includedNoNoYesYesYes
Positions history & date-sensitivity pagesNoYesYesYesYes
Combined-only pages (allocation history, per-strategy analytics)NoNoYesYesYes

Eleven allocation methods exist today, and how many of them you may pick from is set by your plan — 2 on Free, 7 from Starter, and all 11 from Advanced:

Across the strategies inside a Combined the choice is narrower — six of the eleven work at that level, and a Combined itself needs Advanced, so that is where the choice starts: Equal Weights, Fixed Allocation, Inverse Volatility, Ranking-Based, Risk Parity and MPT (Markowitz). A method's own theory is covered on its own page; this page states only which plan unlocks it.

How much compute power does each plan include?

Compute power is how much of one simulation Fincanva computes at the same time, and it is the one plan difference that is about waiting rather than about what a strategy may do. It does not rise at every step.

Set by your plan: 4 on Free and Starter, 8 on Advanced and 16 on Ultimate and Professional. See what each plan includes.

A higher figure runs more of the same work at once: it buys no extra data, no further allocation method and no longer history, so nothing about the strategy or the period behind the result changes with the plan. What it does and does not say about the wait is on compute time, the page that owns how long a run takes. The price list publishes the same figures under the label Compute power, for the four plans it prices — Professional is a contact path there, so it has no column of its own.

What about Live strategies, leverage, benchmarks, and FIN AI?

Four limits the tables above leave out, because they are not about what a strategy can hold — they are about following it, leveraging it, measuring it, or asking FIN AI about it:

FreeStarterAdvancedUltimateProfessional
Strategies followed Live015No limitNo limit
Leverage
FIN AI suggestions3 a monthNo limitNo limitNo limitNo limit
Benchmark against your own portfoliosNoNoYesYesYes

Every plan benchmarks against the market benchmarks; from Advanced your own live portfolios can serve as benchmarks too. A strategy already pointed at one of yours keeps it and keeps running on a plan that does not include them — see benchmark.

Free's FIN AI allowance recharges rather than running out for good: it is a monthly count that refills at the start of the next month, never a wall that stays shut once used up.

What sets the backtest's starting year?

The ratified matrix assigns a starting-year floor to every plan — 2020 for Free, 2010 for Starter, 2000 for Advanced, 1900 for Ultimate and Professional — but Fincanva does not apply it today. No backtest is refused for starting earlier than its plan's floor; the app does not read this value at all yet. See what Settings → Usage tells you for how that page states the same thing.

How do these limits show up while I work?

A strategy that exceeds one of these limits does not lose what it holds — it stops running until it fits the plan again, or the plan changes to cover it. That check, and everything it does and does not do, is plan compliance. To see where you personally stand against these numbers right now, see what Settings → Usage tells you; to see how your plan itself is displayed and changed, see how to read your plan.

Fincanva does not tell you which plan to be on, and this page is not a recommendation to subscribe — see Is this financial advice?.
