What Settings → Usage tells you

Settings → Usage answers two separate questions on one page: how much you personally have saved or followed, under What you hold, and what your plan grants inside a single strategy, model or screener, under What your plan allows. The two are never mixed into one number.

What does "What you hold" show?

The account-wide count against each allowance — the same figures the counter beside each list already shows you: strategies saved, screeners saved, and strategies followed Live. Not every row is a ceiling your plan sets. Behind the no-limit rows for saved strategies and saved screeners there is a technical safety maximum of 999 that stops runaway creation, and no plan step raises it, because it is not a plan lever. The one exception is saved strategies on Free, which is one: that IS a plan limit, and it is the row an upgrade lifts. Strategies followed Live is capped by your plan at every step. See what each plan includes. Each row reads one of a few ways depending on where you stand:

  • {held} of {allowed} — under the allowance, for example "4 of 5" for strategies followed Live on Advanced.
  • {held} · no limit — on a plan step with no ceiling for that row.
  • {held} of {allowed} · {beyond} set aside — over the allowance; the surplus is what reads Set aside, per plan compliance.
  • {held} of {allowed} · {beyond} not followed — specific to Live: strategies past the Live ceiling stay open and readable, they simply stop being followed.

What does "What your plan allows" show?

What your plan grants inside one object, rather than across your whole account — the numbers that decide whether a single strategy's own setup fits, before the account-wide ceilings above ever come into play:

RowWhat it answers
Strategies in a CombinedHow many strategies one Combined may hold in use — a switched-off one does not count
Positions per modelHow many instruments one strategy may hold
Screeners attached to a modelHow many screeners one strategy may use at once
Filters per screenerHow many filters one screener may hold
LeverageThe highest leverage multiple a strategy may be configured at

The exact figures per plan step are the same ones on what each plan includes; this page shows only yours.

Backtests start from

This row is the one exception on the page: it names a year, but Fincanva does not enforce it. The row itself says so — Not enforced today. — and explains why: Your plan sets this year, and nothing refuses a backtest that starts earlier: at most it decides where a new one begins by default, and you are free to move that date. Treat the figure as informational, not as a wall: no backtest is refused for its starting year.

Does this page show my trial's limits?

Yes, the same way it shows any plan's: this page reads your account's live enforced capability step, and during a 30-day trial that step is the plan you chose at checkout — a trial has no limits of its own, so every row above simply shows your plan's figures, from day 1. What this page does not do is call the trial out by name — the trial row of the plan card at Settings → Billing does that, with the trial's end date, not here. See the 30-day trial for what the trial actually grants and what that row says.

Why does this page ever disagree with the billing card?

In one case, and a trial is not it — during a trial the two agree, because the trial runs at the plan the billing card names (the section above). The case that remains is a paying customer on the Professional tier: the billing card names your plan from Fincanva's own price catalogue, which has no entry for Professional, so a Professional subscriber sees a generic Custom label there instead of a name. This page reads your account's actual enforced capability step instead, so it shows Professional's real numbers even where the billing card cannot name the plan. See how to read your plan for what the billing card shows and why.
